Mostly I have let it go but actually daycare had some ideas that they implemented and he now usually gets at least an hour nap in. So maybe daycare has some ideas how LO could sleep better? In the meantime, it helped for them to put him in a crib that was tucked in a corner, so he wasn't AS distracted by what was going on. He also was somewhat good about falling asleep in a swing, so that happened a lot. R naps for maybe 15 mins at daycare. It's horrible. As a result, I let her nap at home from 3:30-5. Dinner and bath. Back to bed at 6.</p> <p>On the weekends its not unusual for her to sleep 15 hrs a night and nap for 3-4 hrs at a time. My LO barely sleeps at daycare. We've tried white noise, lovey, and now we've even sleep trained at home but nothing works. Like @Anagram: I often feel like they're not trying, but then they have actually recently gotten her to sleep like 15 mins in the PNP, so maybe they are. Otherwise I like the daycare and she is tired but ok by the end of the day. Plus she only goes 3 days a week.</p> <p>I will say it is easier to handle now that she's almost a year. Some days I used to just hate sending her when she was like 4 months old and I knew she wouldn't sleep. But, we got through it. Sore subject! My 10 month old has maximum 30 minutes sleep a day at daycare every day and she looks like a zombie when we pick her up, with black circles under her eyes. But the things she needs, they cannot do. They wont even let her have a sleep sack - everything is against their safety rules. </p> <p>We had no option but to let it go. We counter balance it by putting her to bed almost as soon as we get her in - half five some evenings. I feel like they don't even try and also that they don't watch for her (very obvious to me) tired signs.</p> <p>My LO isn't a crier, and that's the only signal they know for tiredness. She'll happily "play" all day, getting more and more zombie like. By the time I pick her up some days, she's "happily" sitting, almost in a trance. There aren't many babies and the older kids are pretty loud. He was sleeping waaay less there then at home. I brought in a sleep sack and white noise and that seemed to help. Also one of the assistant teachers babysits for us so she knows LO's sleep routine.
