Ahh. I was a lifeguard so I know all about the poopy issues at public pools. There is a protocol for code browns and I would appreciate as a parent or swimmer that the pool to be checked and chlorine levels tested. Poop is gross. Simply let the lifeguard know and they'll do their job in protecting all the swimmers. No biggie. Our swim school has protocols for each type of poop incident, they do a great job. She was jumping in and out and I was helping and after she jumped in one time, I saw poop bits on the concrete, so I scooped her right out again and sure enough.... after I changed her, I checked pool area and I didn't see any bits in the water, so we kind of jumped in and out in that same area so the water would wash away the poop on the concrete.... is that horrible of me? We were on a play date and we had been in the water for only a few minutes! The poop is in contact with the water, just the same as if there were a piece of poop floating around.
