As s backup option, you could use purees to make Popsicles. They seen like a treat but have all the good stuff in them!

Are you worried about doing BLW and giving baby what you eat? My LO refused purees and we did "my" version of BLW. I didn't give him what I eat, because DH is gone for work most of the time and I eat cereal for dinner a lot, ha.

I would bake sweet potato chunks and make sure I had avocado, banana and raw veggies I could quickly steam on hand and would offer him those at mealtime.

Blake rejected puréed starting at 8 months and would only do finger foods. It didn't worry me because he was still breastfed and getting bottles of formula to supplement, so I knew he was eating what he needed. We actually went off solids altogether from 9.5-12 months (at the reccomendation of our GI because they were dealing with major reflux issues with solid foods) and our pediatric GI was not concerned about that at all because anything before 1 was just "for fun" to introduce textures, tastes, etc.

I vote read up on baby led weaning and get a BLW cookbook. There are some great IG accounts to follow.

Why do you think she's not getting enough nutrients? DD2 didn't like purees so I just fed her anything I would have pureed, but just cut into little pieces. I think the end result was the same!

I think its totally fine. I fed my LO solid foods, but it was mostly just steamed vegetables, fruit, and I made meat patties with a pinch of salt. She seemed to eat them just fine. Are you worried about flavoring the food?

how did you make sure they got somewhat of a balanced diet? my older DD I could cycle through the jarred food, or whatever I had made and had frozen. my younger daughter will not touch purees, but likes "solid" food. I'm a terrible cook.

I may be overthinking this. Just worried she isn't getting "enough" of various nutrients. (She's still breast fed, too!)
