I was able to find the stand on sale through Amazon Warehouse for about $50. We weren't planning on getting it but when I found it on sale we went for it. I have older kids though so I was scared that if I left it attached to the stroller baby might go for a wild ride! ;)

@betsyboop: Yeah, I think that makes perfect sense. And the carseat will be easy to move around and up and down stairs, and I can have the base downstairs already. This would definitely for the short time I'd have the baby in the bassinet anyway. That's why HB is great :)

@Foodnerd81: I found that the bassinet attached to the stroller was the perfect height for easy access to LO from our bed. When we did take LO out when she was that young, we used the carseat and snap n go!

Have the UBV. If I had to do it all over again, I would probably just get the UB Cruz which doesn't come with the bassinet. Since we had a co-sleeper thing, we never used the bassinet.

@betsyboop: @shopaholic: Huh-- I was thinking we would leave the stroller downstairs, but maybe it would just make more sense to have the bassinet on the stroller in the apartment. That would certainly be easy enough... unless I wanted to take it outside, in which case it would be a two person job to get it down the stairs again.

We didn't buy a stand because we just wheeled the stroller into our room. We didn't take the stroller outside when LO was that young so we weren't worried about dirty wheels.

We have the UBV also and have used the bassinet for the stroller 3x's so far and the sleeping for every night so far (she'll be 2 weeks tomorrow). The first night I put the bassinet on an ottoman in the room but DH was worried I'd knock it over in the middle of the night going to the bathroom or something. Do ghetto style maybe, but we've been using the bassinet on the stroller in our room. It works out well because I can peek over from my bed and it's a good height. Also, we lock the stroller so it doesn't move. I don't see using the bassinet in our room gor too long so I'm glad we didn't buy a stand. And it's also easy to use the stroller since our house is all hardwood and only one story.

We had the Britax (same idea though) and we just kept the entire stroller in the house and rolled her from room to room in it. It worked for us and our layout though.

LO slept in the bassinet until she was six weeks. We had it in the co-sleeper next to the bed. She loved it on the stroller but grew out of it length wise at about eight weeks.

We have the UBV. I was too cheap to spring for a stand since I wasn't sure how long she'd actually be in the bassinet. LO slept in the bassinet on the floor next to our bed for a couple months. It worked for us!

I never actually used it with the stroller at all. I always used the infant carseat and the Snap and Go when I needed a stroller in the early months.

I'm interested in this too - LO will sleep in the bassinet for the first little bit. Not sure if we should buy the UB stand since it can fold so we could take it to our parents, friends etc or go with the cheaper Jolly Jumper version !

We got the jolly jumper stand. We liked it bc it was light and could easily be moved from one part f the apt to another. Lo did sleep in the bassinet for the first month; he loved it and I felt better about having him in there for long periods of time bc it was flat. However, we also don't drive/have a car.

Eta that the jolly jumper stand also rocks, which the ubv does not, and that was really nice.

We have an UBV but like you, will likely use the car seat + adapter more than the bassinet. The stands sell for like $100 so we didn't want to bother and just plan to have LO sleep in the PnP instead (same price).

Did you buy the UB stand? The Jolly Jumper one? Or, did you just place the bassinet on a flat surface?

We are planning to get the Uppababy Vista stroller, but I don't know how much I'll get to use the bassinet since we have stairs to go up and down to our apartment--it seems like it would be easier to have the baby in the infant carseat and adapter in the beginner (easier to pick up a sleeping baby still in the carseat than out of the bassinet). But I know a lot of people have their babies sleep in the bassinet in the beginning, so curious where they have it.
