It's going pretty well! It was a bit of a rough start since he is the youngest in the class by quite a bit and although he's come SO far with his speech he is still not as verbal as some of the older kids. I think some of the kids turn 4 before he turns 3! He's supposed to go MWF 9-1 but the teachers suggested we pick him up at noon since he was refusing snack time and therefore struggling to make it through the day. That's actually worked out fine for us though and he's done really well ever since!

It's really helped his speech and I love seeing all of the projects they do there since we don't do a ton of that stuff at home. We were a little unsure of sending him this year but I'm so glad we did!

She loves it! I'm so relieved by how much she is thriving. Previously she was at home with family but went to a daycare 1-2 days a week and never got in a good routine with it. I'm thrilled.

LO started in September. She was previously in a nanny share. She took to school surprisingly well--she's already used to not being with us during the day so that part was ok. She loves going to school, her teachers, and her friends. It really surprised us.

Pretty well. At first he wouldn't nap there, but after almost two weeks that worked out. Still working on the daily poop accidents :/. And he doesn't eat great there, probably because he's a slow eater and they don't give a ton of time. He's slowly interacting more with the kids. A little sickness, but nothing major. Overall he loves it, but it sure is a transition for all of us!

Socially it has been really great but we had an injury and they handled it poorly and I don't think their safety practices are the best so we are looking at other schools for next year.

She absolutely loves it, but didn't love the first one we sent her to, so we switched schools about a month in. She goes 5 days a week, 8:30 to 11, and comes skipping out afterward telling me all the funny jokes her teacher said that day, with a backpack full of projects she's done. She's so happy, and that makes us so happy!

It's going really well! She started MWF for four hours after labor day. No issues at all transitioning. She runs in yelling "hi friends!".

We're having an issue with one boy that isn't very verbal and uses a lot of shoving to express himself. :bummed: the teachers are working with him but DD doesn't take well to getting pushed and talks about this boy hurting her a lot.

Amazingly well. When she was at daycare she was ready to leave when I got there, but at preschool she wants to stay longer, finish whatever she was doing, etc.

She never cries at dropoffs and is so proud to show/tell us about the new things she learned. I am really happy we made the switch.

We started in Sept. It was a rough beginning--he cried a LOT for the first two weeks, and didn't want to go to school. But now he loves it, and when we saw his teachers for an event last week, they said he is doing great and participating in everything and talks ALL the time (too much, sometimes!). I love hearing about his day (although sometimes the only news I get from LO is that they had crackers for snack, lol).

Dd (3) started about a month ago and it's going great. She comes home singing new songs and talking about the other kids. At first she was upset about it but she recently said "I have a lot of friends at school" so I thought that was sweet. The germs coming home suck with a newborn but it is so good for dd. It is really opening up her world!

We actually started after Spring Break last year for the last two months of school, but this fall is when he was originally supposed to start 3's. He goes 3 days a week for 2 1/2 hours. C has a language delay, so this is actually a special needs school through our local school district. He has kids of all levels in his class, and they all have their strengths and weaknesses. It's a pretty small class, so he gets a lot of individualized attention.

He's doing very well so far, he hasn't been much of a crier at drop off, but he asked for Mom a lot initially. I've definitely noticed a new language explosion, although it's going pretty slowly, it's thrilling to be more conversational and using sentences these days.

How is it going so far?

I know there were several of us with our LOs starting school for the first time this fall... How has the transition gone for you?

Our previously grandmacare son started a mwf, 4 hour a day preschool after Labor Day. He cried at drop off the first couple days but was fine after that... He's been sick a few times now (as expected) and missed a couple days. He's becoming more talkative and interactive now w the other kids and asst teachers but the first month he was very attached to his main teacher (grandma replacement I figure).

He comes home saying new things and singing new songs and such every day after school! I'm hoping it continues to help him, especially in the socialization aspect.
