I just kept offering. She really wanted nothing to do with solid foods, but we kept giving her different things; foods she could feed herself seemed to go over best.

We started at 5 months, and she just wasn't interested. We would try every week or so, and she still wasn't interested. I didn't push it, and by 7 months she finally started to enjoy solids. Now at 17 months, we can't keep her from eating!

We started BLW around 6 months, and I would say it wasn't until 9 months that he started showing a lot of interest. At almost 13 months and switching to WCM and dropping bottles, he is just now starting to really eat a decent amount of food on a regular basis. My strategy was to just keep offering and drink a lot of wine during dinner when he threw everything on the ground

Miss A didn't really eat any great volume of solids / food until about fifteen months but she was happy to taste and eat small amounts of a wide variety of foods (we did mainly BLW). At eighteen months she was probably eating 50% solids and 50% breastmilk and at two she was fully on solids although still dry-nursing.

As long as your LO is gaining ok and happy to taste / showing some interest then I wouldn't be overly concerned :-)

I just continued offering! She didn't eat much till right around 12.5 ish months. The week of her birthday, I specifically remember that she refused every single food except those pre packaged fruit cups of orange segments.

Then a couple of weeks later, she was downing entire salmon fillets with sides of broccoli and peas.

I continued offering small amounts every day. We started at 6 months and she really wasn't eating a whole lot until 9.5 months.

What was your strategy? We started at 5.5 mo with blw. Lo is now almost 8 mo and just doesn't care much about food. There are a few things she will eat, but not much. Like I give her pears a lot bc that is her favorite food but usually she eats half of one slice then is done. Or she'll take 3 tiny bites of oatmeal. Or 5 puffs. Like, that's it.

So far we just don't push it. We offer something once per day, sometimes twice if we have time. Sometimes she eats a little. Sometimes she doesn't.

If your lo took a while to be interested in solids did you have any strategies to help? Or just continue offering until they get interested?
