I'd like to do so also, even when she's no longer our nanny...particularly since we'll probably need her on occasion for weekends or evenings. Some of them I don't speak with as much as I like, but I make an effort, and they do too. Many of them were such huge parts of my life and I love feeling involved in them growing up.</p> <p>One family in particular I was SUPER close with when I was their live-in nanny; I make an effort and we also visit when we go back to NY to see family. The kids don't really remember me though because they were all under the age of 4 when I left. Some people really value that... while some others don't really make an effort back.</p> <p>It's all good - we just figure we'll make an effort and if they're interested, we can all stay in touch. It can be a tricky balance, as we don't want anyone to feel obligated to stay in touch.</p> <p>If your LO used to have a nanny, do you keep in touch with them? </p>
