I always give her the opportunity to try to fall back asleep! Usually 10-15 minutes. Now if she' s really crying I will go get her since she wouldn't go back usually from that. But just fussing, rolling around, or happily just being? I leave her for a while to give her a chance! Sometimes it works....but usually not, lol. But I always try since it has happened like 5 times.

I only get LO 1 if she sounds upset or if I think it is time for her to use the potty.

I have to get LO 2 right away because she is a crier!

@Bao: if she's happy definitely leave her to see what happens! if she's unhappy she probably hasn't had enough of a nap in which case I would leave her for 15 mins and see if she goes back to sleep.

@winniebee: She is almost 8 months old. Half the time she wakes up happy and half the time she wakes up crying/whining. When she is happy I'm almost tempted to just leave her because, well, she's happy!

Does she wake happy or crying? Remind me how old she is?

When my son was on 2 naps if he woke before 1 hour, I would let him cry for a bit to encourage him to go back down. If I went in to rock him to sleep or whatever he just thought it was play time and wanted to get up.

What do you do? Go in and try to get them back down? Wait and see if they fall back asleep?

LO2 will often wake up from her afternoon nap after about 30 minutes. I sometimes let her get up but then she's often ready to go back down within another half hour. I debate with myself if I should just leave her be and see what she does, or go in and try and get her back to sleep.
