@lovehoneybee: It's been brutal! He got sent home from daycare today for a fever that broke like an hour later. He spent nearly 4 hours in my office with me...he was a super baby but I am seriously zapped!

@matador84: Oh poor baby, and poor Mama!

E is hit or miss so I try to split the difference....I put him down earlier than normal, but not super early.

I hope he feels better soon!

@fancyfunction: @shopaholic: @littlek: We did a long bath and then bed and he was out light a like! Thank goodness because I am completely wiped out!

@Mrs. Jacks: I have a feeling my two children will be polar opposites. It ended up to where I moved bedtime slightly up, we will see how he sleeps tonight!

Here's what I do:
For my bad sleeper, I know that she won't sleep longer even though she's sick, so I keep her up until bedtime.

For my good sleeper, I know she'll take advantage of the extra sleep time and I put her to bed early.

Ouch, I'm sorry. I would follow your LOs clues. If LO seems tired (eye rubs), I'd put him to sleep earlier. Hope he feels better soon!!

I've had rough days like that. If LO seemed like she would go down early, I tried to put her down early. She might have had an extra wake-up, but usually couldn't go all the way to normal bedtime without being overly tired and fussy - which was worse to put her down.

Unfortunately we have days here and there where we experience this. ;) I may put her down slightly earlier (maybe 30 min) but generally follow her tiredness cues. Hope he feels better!

DS has been sick and ultimately I had to take him to work with me today...so no nap! He slept maybe 20 minutes if that at daycare before I had to come and take him home.

Would you put your LO down EARLY (normal bedtime 7pm max)--like 530-6 to prevent overtiredness? Or put them down about the same time and just roll with it?
