Yeah mine were born at total opposite seasons... Feb and July! But #2's wardrobe is largely (I'd say 90%) from DD1's. Things I like to buy new are holiday and birthday dresses, shoes (once in a while, if DD1's were used too much), and socks.

Re: winter/summer dilemma, some sizes did match up because DD2 grew at a different rate a little. I also was surprised to find that she fit in things sooner than I thought she would. Also, I definitely used a lot of summer clothes to layer with during colder months. Dresses last 1-2 years with my girls too...

April and December so just some stuff. I like buying #2 new things, too.
Also, keep in mind that old clothes have shrunk from washing so you might be able to use them when DD2 is younger. And my 2nd is bigger than my first. Well, taller, anyway.

We've reused just about everything. The boys were born opposite seasons, but Baby Brother got bigger faster so he mostly caught up to the larger clothes for each season. I've only had to buy a few items here and there.

Mine were born in November and July, I have been able to use pretty much everything and have luckily gotten a few extra hand-me-downs and clothes for gifts. There was a point last summer when #2 needed some shorts and t-shirts (since it winter when #1 was in that size) but I asked for clothes for his birthday and went to a consignment store for anything else he needed. I don't want to buy a lot because we don't plan on having anymore kids!

Luckily in Florida we can wear summer clothes in the winter and just add a sweater :) but... we're team green, so we may be in store for an entire new wardrobe!

We should be able to-- C was born in July and was 99th percentile for a while, so we had a lot of clothes for her one size up. LO#2 is due in May, and if it's a girl, so as long as she's not ginormous (or teeny tiny), then the sizes should line up nicely.

My LO's will be on opposite seasons. A was born late August so she could wear a lot of lighter clothing, although she still wore long sleepers in the newborn stage. Baby #2 will be born in March so it will be cold still. We are set as far as newborn clothes go because A did have a lot of pants, long sleeve shirts, fleece sleepers etc but once it starts to warm up, baby #2 will need all new things. I was going through all of A's old clothes and noticed around 12 months they are looking a little stained, so not sure how many we will be able to use at that point either.

If your LO's are the same gender, were you able to re-use a lot of LO #1's clothes? What did you end up having to buy?
