I really liked it and wanted to start the process ASAP so we could put in an offer prior to that encounter. (From the sidewalk while walking my dog - I don't stop or do anything super-duper creepy). I just love seeing how other people decorate/live in their house. My line to realtors is that we are just curious neighbors and if we like the house, we might suggest it to our friends/family who are looking to move. We go into the open houses in our neighbourhood now and then. Some of the houses are massive and overlooking a lake and go for $800k+. The last one I went to looked exactly like my house except they had reno'ed the kitchen and figured out how to make the tiny 1940s kitchen bigger. It was awesome. We're gradually doing some upgrades to our house so I don't want to over- or under-improve. I do tell the realtors that I'm just a curious neighbor and they always seem totally cool with it. A lot of them live in other neighborhoods so I actually think they find it useful to chat with people who live right here. Ours sold months earlier than their's did.
