@debbiei8: Yea I assume we will need several. But with 2 day free shipping I'm not that concerned about getting them all right now. Want to buy 1 at a time and see what I like :)

We have just a plain sheet (American Baby Company brand). I would definitely buy 2-3 whenever you figure out what kind of sheet you want because my LO went through a faze of spitting up a lot and it got on the sheet. I didn't really think about buying more than one because I figured we wouldn't use it a lot after he moves to his room but that was kinda a mistake because he's still in our room at 6 weeks and I don't see him moving yet.

@looch: @Mae: I used the quilted sheet as basically a mattress pad and then put a regular sheet over it! All the comforts and none of the problems! :D

@Mae: I don't recall if I machine dried it, but I did just use it under a regular sheet. I found the fabric itself wasn't that soft, it was pretty scratchy for a sheet, I felt.

@Mae: Definitely don't machine dry! Ours is still in good shape but I nearly ruined it by running it through the dryer. Oops. Other than that though, it's quilted and comfy and has worked great. Oh and don't feel dumb, I wondered the same thing when I got the PnP! I had no idea they made sheets!

@looch: That's why I only ordered one, because I saw some reviews saying that. But others said that isn't an issue if you hang to dry. Which isn't a big deal to me because we have a decent sized laundry room with an area where I hang things to dry. I like the idea of the quilted bc it seems more comfy and it was worth the $15 to give it a try. But if I hate it I'll just order some regular ones.

@Mae: The PNP sheets we have are a little bit padded and I think they make a big difference in terms of comfort. We went out of town for Easter but forgot the sheet for the PNP and I could tell LO wasn't very comfortable. Plus, it makes it so much easier to clean if your LO spits up in the PNP (ours did this a lot!).

@T.H.O.U.: The bassinet portion of ours is the full size of the pack n play and uses the same mat.

Just ordered from amazon, yay! Problem solved haha. (And so glad I asked even though it turned out to be a dumb question haha)

We had trouble finding a sheet for the bassinet portion of the PNP (the sheets and mats I've seen are for the larger bottom portion but we didn't want to bend down that far with a newborn). So we used a pillow case.

I feel dumb now I didn't look for this haha. I don't know why I just assumed that people put the baby down in the empty pack n play. I guess because I've never actually seen someone use it as a bed! lol. Most of my friends used the rock n play for newborn sleep.

Yes - they do make pack and play sheets and they make a mattress pad for the pack-n- play!

My DS slept in the pnp for 5 months!

There are sheets! We used them. Easier to deal with the inevitable spit up, etc. Cleaning a pack and play mattress isn't SO bad (we used the shower to do that) but it's unwieldy!

We have a pack n play with the bassinet thing and we plan for our newborn to sleep in that our first few weeks home (at least) until we're ready to move her to her crib in her room.

I'm wondering what other have done re: sheets? I mean the pack n play isn't really designed to have sheets but it feels odd to put her down on just the pad. Wondering if I should lay a flat sheet down, or a thin blanket under her? Is that even safe? (Sorry if this is a stupid FTM question or I'm over thinking... but I know they say nothing in the crib but baby!)
