i am the same situation, except i went back to work 2 months ago. i still don't find he eats a whole lot but he nurses whenever he sees me. And the overnight nursing has increased since i went back to work. So i feel at a loss (and am majorly sleep deprived). i just tell myself he is getting what he needs because he gains weights and is healthy at his well baby doctor appts. As for weaning, i just started offering cow's milk instead of my milk during the day when he turned one. But when he sees me (like after i have been away at work all day), he just wants to nurse, so it's clearly for comfort too.

I recall with DS1 that he was almost completely weaned by 2 years, i just don't remember exactly when the sessions dropped. But by 2 years he had been down to one session at bedtime for quite a while. And for a while before that, he had just been nursing one additional session in the morning. So i have hope that maybe by 18 months, DS2 will decrease his frequency?

If your one(ish) year old barely ate solids, when did you wean from breastfeeding? What did that look like for you?

LO will be one in a few weeks and eats 2-3 small meals a day. Breakfast might be part of a banana, or some toast with puree, etc. Lunch/dinner might be some shredded meat with puree, peas or other veggies, or some of what we're eating. But she doesn't eat much when it comes to solids & she still nurses a ton (overnight, too!).

I was hoping to slowly start dropping a feed here and there so she would be weaned for most of the day by the time she's 15 months & I go back to work. I know it will happen, but it's hard to imagine right now!
