They are not unconventional at all when it comes to modern medicine. My dad is remarried and has young children. My SIL is a scientist and her daughter is definitely vaccinated. A little off topic, but we've recently made some neighborhood friends and I don't know their stances on vaccinations. As parents we also got our booster shots, as did the grandparents. My little sister has two with cancer so they have pretty much stopped vaccinating but want others to vaccinate. My son was on a slightly modified schedule except for chicken pox. Got that done after visiting them because we don't share live viruses.
