I wouldn't want a criminal around my kids. If it was fraud or murder it's all the same to me.</p> <p>ETA: my thinking is this.... If I covered for DH and he eventually got caught I am sure somehow I would be charged with accessory or something for knowing and not handing him in. Then we both go to jail, and our kids have no parents. At least if I turn him in, they still have one parent. DHs response was the same as mine.
