@daniellemybelle: he still gets contact hives so he can eat dairy that isn't wet. No milk, ice cream, yogurt, etc. american cheese irritates his skin but he's fine with cheddar. I'm nervous for hummus because I am allergic to chick peas ( weird I know).

@ladybee: Now I'm googling... #procrastination

Can he have coconut milk? I'm reading you can add that to nut milks for more fat.

Also, hummus is a good source of healthy fats. S loves hummus so I am going to get some!

Sadie pretty much refuses to drink milk even though she has no intolerance to it. It gives me anxiety. She really doesn't drink much at all.

We are still nursing 2-3 times per day but I estimate she only gets about 6 ozs or so total from those sessions. I have always had low supply.

Other than that, she drinks maybe 6-8 oz of water with a splash of juice throughout the day, on a good day. I know she should definitely drink more.

I try to offer her lots of yogurt and cheese, and she does love fruit & veggies which have water content. She probably needs more fat in her diet but she is not into nut butters or avocado.

I thought M was okay to have milk now?

No milks. She is able to eat cheese and yogurt, but she gets her good fats in other ways. She can eat a whole avocado in one sitting :)

Mine doesn't drink any milk (other than nursing twice a day) and the ped said it was fine to just give her water, just make sure she gets plenty of fat and calcium from other things like yogurt and cheese.

Mine doesn't really drink any milk at all since we got rid of bottles. She used to drink hemp milk. Now we just give her lots of cheese and yogurt, fatty stuff like avocados, and we cook with lots of oil. I also worry about her getting enough fat but she seems ok and our pediatrician seems to think her diet is fine.

Hemp milk. About 20 oz a day.

Eta: I don't worry so much about the fat these day because LO loves eggs, salmon, sausage, beef brisket, dark meat chicken--all fatty!

Almond milk. A lot of it. And we never supplemented with anything else. He had enough fats from food intake!

What do they drink and does it have enough fat? M drinks about 15-20 oz of almond milk. I worry it doesn't have enough fat in it and am looking for suggestions.

Should I add oil to it?
