@BabyTsMom: Thanks!! We buy that brand of regular multi vitamins for DS so I'm sure she would happily eat those. I'll check with our Pedi next month to see what he says.

@Bluebonnet: I have...and she just takes a sip and spits it out :( That's how she is with all the types of milk I've tried with her as well (hemp, almond, oat, coconut, WCM).

@BabyTsMom: What type of supplement do you give? I'm planning to ask our Pedi at her 15 mo appt next month as well.

@bushelandapeck: Have you tried smoothies? (You can add milk/yogurt and blend with her favorite fruit). Its a great way to sneak in dairy.

my LO started out loving wcm but now at 18 months, only drinks at most 6 oz a day. He also doesn't love dairy so I have resorted to giving him a calcium supplement. It's always best to get nutrients from real food, and he does eat some cheese and yogurt but not enough, so I figured the supplement should round him out. Our pediatrician is fine with it.

@hilsy85: I've never given her juice and she eats green veggies but not really leafy greens, though I could start trying to give them to her.
@nana87: ours wants 3 servings of dairy each day for the calcium but doesn't care how she gets it. That being said, she rarely even eats one full serving because she doesn't like yogurt or cheese (aside form string cheese sometimes). Did you continue to breastfeed or does your lo just drink water?

My pediatrician really doesn't care about milk consumption. I've asked at every single appointment since she turned 1, and he keeps saying he doesn't care how much/little she drinks as long as she's peeing/not dehydrated. That said, I'm also still nursing, and lo eats a lot of yogurt and cheese

Hm. Does she eat leafy greens/oj? Those are also good sources of calcium. As long as she's also getting healthy fat from other sources I wouldn't worry. MY LO didn't like milk til I totally weaned, FWIW. Then he loved it.

What did you give them instead? DD is 14 mos and refuses any sort of milk/milk alternative and only wants breast milk and water. This wouldn't be a huge deal if she also liked other types of dairy but she really doesn't. The only thing I can get her to eat is the occasional cheese stick. I'm still pumping at work 1x and she nurses 4-5 times (including once MOTN) most days when I'm home. I would love to cut down to morning/night nursing and stop pumping if possible, but I don't want to do that until she's drinking something else during the day.
