DS started right at 2. He seemed totally fine and in the routine at home, but would freak out when it was time to go to daycare. It took 3 weeks before he stopped crying every day. DD started at 13 months. It's hard to break out what was related to starting preschool and what was related to the arrival of LO2 (we did not intend for these to coincide, but our nanny quit unexpectedly, so we were scrambling.)</p> <p>She was very clingy and sensitive, developed a HUGE mommy preference and was prone to a lot of tantrums. She would tell you that she liked school when asked, and she liked her teachers, but she did not start participating in class and really playing with the other kids until about 4 months in. Did their appetite decrease, did they get clingier, did they start waking up motn, etc....?<br /> LO (newly turned 2) will be starting a 3.5-hour morning preschool (5 days) soon, and I am wondering what to expect when I pick him up! I already know the drop offs will be very difficult and it might take a while..... </p>
