The main thing is not to take the Synthroid/Levothyroxine with any other meds or vitamins, because calcium fights with the Synthroid. Worst-case, you may have to have an increased dose of the Levo, but for me, that's a small price to pay. There was NO WAY I could wait two hours after waking up before taking a pill! This has kept my levels around 2ish for a long time (down from 67 when I was diagnosed). During pregnancy I did have to up the dosage though.</p> <p>I agree with the others... This year my levels went up for the first time in forever and I just felt off (super cold and tired and shaky) and my levels were at a 4.7 which is the outer limit. My doc wanted to get me more mid-level - like closer to a 2 which is where I had been for a long time. She upped my dosage maybe 2 months ago to 100 mcg and my levels are already back around 2 and I feel so much better </p> <p>I take one tablet first thing in the morning with water on an empty stomach. Then I go get LO and get her dressed and ready and make us breakfast and by then it's been more than 30 minutes since I took the pill. </p> <p>Do you have 2 pills bc the dosage doesn't come at 50 mcg?
