I was induced twice. With ds at 40wks, completely unfavorable, barely even fingertip dilated and it took 21 hours from start to finish. But pushing was only ~30mins. With dd, at 37.5, I was surprised I was about 3cm when we checked in for the induction because I was 0 at my appointment a few days before. She took less than 6hrs from start to finish. And only ~5 mins of pushing.

Good luck!!! :goodluck:

I'm being induced for the 3rd time (if I make it) in 9 days!

Both my previous inductions were 8 hours, despite coming in at different dilations. I pushed for 45 min with DD1 and maybe 3 min for DD2. Otherwise, it was pretty similar. Once they break the water (after the second dose of antibiotics) things pick up.

Hopefully, you will have a few cervical changes over the next week that makes it a little easier for induction.

I've been induced three times and it went better each time. The third was really really fast. I don't respond to Pit though.

Did your inductions go similarly?

I'm going to be induced a week from today at 37 weeks for an IUGR/SGA baby and am nervous about a long labor because as of now, I'm not at all displayed or effaced.

I was induced with DD1 (coincidentally also around 37 weeks) after my water broke but labor did not begin. I was about 1 cm at the time and went very quickly (maybe 4 hours).
