I think I was only 3 or so dpo for my lap. I was concerned b/c I thought I would be further along in my cycle at that point, but the doctor didn't care at that point (my RE did try to schedule it for a little later in my cycle).

I had my most recent lap on 4DPO. My doctor didn't even ask what CD I was on. Had my surgery gotten all of my Endo we would have been able to TTC again 2 weeks post lap. I was on continuous BC for my first lap and my next one will be approximately a month of my last zoladex implant, before I have a period again. If your surgery is intrauterine CD may matter because you lining is at a different thickness depending on where you are in your cycle. Otherwise I don't think it matters too much.

I don't remember exactly when I had my lap, but I know it had to be after my period. I actually had to reschedule because they didn't tell me that at first, so I did it the following month.
My BFF also had a lap though, and her doctor didn't care what part of her cycle she was in.

@mrs. bird: our clinic if huge too and associated with an enormous hospital. God, I hope that means they'll move us along too.

@blackbird: lol! Sweats for a few weeks for say? Don't have to tell me twice. I won't even bother getting out I PJs (if it helps, you know). ;)

@cupcakewalk, yeah hopefully! I hope your recovery is a breeze! My first one was pretty bad (i had a lot of issues when they cut me open) but my second one was cake! You'll want skirts/pants with loose waists for awhile :)

@CupQuakeWalk: I had a lap and I think it was around CD12 and then we were told to wait one full cycle before we could TTC again, I would think that an appointment next week would be reasonable as long as the OR time is available... here it was 4 weeks before the first available OR date

@CupQuakeWalk: yep. You take it everyday and never get a period. My DnC was for retained placenta not miscarriage. I think 6 weeks is pretty standard after a lap.

mine likes to do it after AF, but before O, or anytime while on BC. mine was also scheduled pretty quickly, but it's a pretty huge clinic and they move ppl along.

It was seven years ago, so I don't remember the details of my cycle, but I do remember there was a delay for scheduling my lap based on it. Sorry I can't be more helpful, and I hope they're able to take care of you soon!

@blackbird: I figure that, but my periods are short (4 days max) so I'd HOPE he'd just schedule me for the end of that week maybe (just as soon as I finish). Waiting stinks.

@swedishfish: thank you:))

Oh man I can't remember AT ALL. But I've always been on continuous bc (skipping periods) since high school. But i have had two laps. Wishing you a speedy recovery! I would think they don't want you on your period, though. Seems like that would increase inflammation and maybe make it difficult to remove all the growth

@septca: thank you:) they (the 2 u/s techs) were telling me the doctor would probably tell me to NOT try for 6 weeks after the procedure, so I hope the cycle day doesn't matter for me either! I am also on b/c (May & June).
What is continuous b/c? Like no sugar pills in-between?

I had my lap on CD 10. O'ed right on schedule on CD17, but couldn't TTC because you get 2 weeks of pelvic rest afterward. For my DnC I was on continuous BCP, so the cycle day didn't matter.

Based on my most recent u/s, they scheduled me for a "pre-op"appointment instead of a "follow-up." Basically, it gives us an extra 25mins to discuss the procedure, if I need it.

I am wondering, if you had any procedure like metroplasty or laporoscopic surgery: what cycle day did you have it on? Is this type of thing something that has to be done at a certain point in the cycle?
I ask because I'll be on my period during the appointment. I wonder if that means he will schedule my procedure right then and there rather than make me wait another month (why is everything so slow-mo in RE land?!)
