@Applesandbananas: @swedishfish: Thank you both!

@Tidybee: That makes sense. I'm going to do RPL testing soon...not convinced that we're going to find anything, though. Unfortunately it seems like bad luck/ random chance is responsible for a lot of early losses.

@Dandelion: I'm so sorry to hear about your losses. I think it must be different for everyone...but I can imagine different losses being very different. Late losses (or the loss of a child) break my heart. :crying:

I think it depends on the type of loss. I've had an early miscarriage (5 weeks) and a full term loss. If I had lost another baby, I'd be done. Well, I'm done anyways, with my rainbow baby.

I've had two and if I have a third I'm probably going to say enough and get testing and not get pregnant again until I'm
Sure I'm going to be monitored and treated.

@swedishfish: Yeah...so variable. This second one is stil fresh in my mind, but from where I'm standing, I can imagine having a heck of a time if this were to happen again.

I don't know if there's an exact number. It would be a feeling that occurs that enough is enough but I can't say how many miscarriages that would take.

I am hesitant to ask this, because I know how personal this kind of decision-making is and how easy it is to change your mind once you're actually in a given situation...

But, with that said-- if you've had a prior miscarriage, or miscarriages, is there a certain number that would make you say "no more"? Do you think having children at home influences or would influence your answer?

I have had 2 miscarriages...and have no children at home, due to "unexplained" infertility. I'm a long way from giving up..,but DH and I both strongly suspect that we have a breaking point, should we get to that point.
