@hotchildinthecity: Same.

As for sizing (I know OP said you're not ordering anymore, but for others with the same question), you go through some steps where they have you line your face up on your screen and snap a picture, and then they base some sizing on that. I still had to take mine to get the arms adjusted. But for the most part the fit was pretty on.

My lenses alone with insurance were $150. I am hoping to do WP next time. My BFF lives in OK and they have one there (so random, I"m so jealous) and she has so many pairs!

Yeah, I'm only looking to buy a new pair if it's completely covered insurance. We don't have $100 extra for glasses now but I could use a new pair because mine is all warped from LO.

Yep i order through warby parker and dont use insurance. The glasses are cheaper anyway and i just use my "allowance" to go towards buying contacts.

No idea about the sizing because i tried on in-store down in soho.

I didn't use my insurance, but like @mrs. wagon said, they are SO much cheaper than the glasses I got in the past with insurance. I'm wearing mine right now! I've had them for almost two years. I actually went to the showroom in NYC to pick them out, but now that I live in another state, I'll order a new pair online when it's time.

For me, I always paid at least $200 for glasses WITH insurance. Since Warby Parker's glasses are $95 total, including frames, they're always cheaper than glasses through insurance for both Wagon Sr. and myself.

We have a local WP so we went there to try on frames. You order your glasses online still, but they can take your pupillary distance and do adjustments there if you need them adjusted. The optometrist at my eye doctor's office had no problem adjusting glasses for me, though, so I brought them to him.

No more glasses for me now though ;)

I ordered a pair but without the lens because I have a high prescription. My optometrist added lens and fitted to me.

I really like WP frames.

DH has two pairs that we ordered in store.

If I remember correctly, we submitted the invoices to our insurance after the fact. I don't think WP bills them directly? I think WP has frame measurements online. You could probably go into your local store and ask them to measure you. Or just order 5 pairs, try, return and repeat until you find a pair you like!

They don't take insurance but can give you a receipt for reimbursement from an FSA. As for the fit, they don't fit it to your face per se. But they do ask for your PD or pupillary distance as part of your prescription to get the lens made correctly.

I haven't officially ordered from them, but I have ordered try-on glasses twice.
I don't know how insurance works, sorry!
Most of the glasses I tried on weren't adjustable, so that wasn't an issue for me. I imagine you can go into a local shop and they will adjust them, but I don't know if WP will credit you any money.
So, basically I'm no help. :silly:

I hear a lot of Bees that order from WP and love their selections.

Two questions:

1) do they take insurance. How does that work?

2) How do you get fitted for the glasses? At my local opticians when the glasses are made they will adjust to fit my face. How would you do that with a online retailer?

Thanks!
