I just had a discussion with my mom about LO's speech development. He knows objects and can express what he wants. We're working on two word phrases right now. It's called receptive language. We got him to say "quiche" this weekend as well as "more food." But in anticipation of their 18 mo check up, I wrote down all the words I heard them say in a day or two, just so I have a ballpark number if the ped asks.
