I drank raspberry tea leaf which sent me into contractions but labor lasted over a day. I wish I would have just let her come out when she was good and ready. Don't want to speed up the contractions, just to have a slow laborious labor. At our birth class the other night the midwife gave a tip that I hadn't heard to speed up labor or get it going: go up and down stairs sideways (like a crab walk, if that makes sense). It's exactly what I went through. She was 10 days late though. It wasn't until we were in the car on the way to the hospital to be induced that it felt like she was ready to come out. Just before they administered the pitocin I went into labor.
