I sent DH to the store at 1AM to buy traps and stuff to seal up the hole because I couldn't sleep! And then every day when i came home he'd ask if i checked the traps, but I refused to check them...so gross! They come in my house (or, in my case, apartment) I'm going to try and kill them. We had a mouse problem in my last apartment for months and it was so gross. My only 'guilt' factor was I wanted them to die quickly-- no glue traps where they would be stuck for hours or anything. </p> <p>My dog did not notice them at all. I mean, I know dogs aren't mouse catchers or anything, but one could run within a few feet of him and he wouldn't even look until I screamed. SO GROSS.</p> <p>He put out baits (pet-safe, kid-safe) and after some initial scurrying toward them, I haven't heard anything in hours. He told me they usually die within 30-40 minutes of eating from the baits.</p> <p>While I'm relieved they're most likely all dead now (he thinks we only had 3-5 at most), I still feel a little bad about killing them. </p> <p>Now I'm going to continue to be super grossed out until they come for the follow-up to remove the baits and any "remains".... </p> <p>Ick. I did however get him to also spray around the house to keep the stinkbugs away at no extra cost! I somehow feel zero guilt over killing those nasty things. </p>
