omg, time for baby #2?! Yay!

It definitely gets harder and harder to leave mine even during the day as he gets older. He realizes I'm not there now, but is totally fine after a few minutes. My cousin was in town yesterday while I was at work, my husband sent some hilarious photos of C starting at her with a confused look, "looks like mommy, but somethings not right"

That is something I'm worried about just in planning baby #2. I barely remember when my brother was born, and I was 4 years old, so I'm sure she will do great! Good luck!!

Aww i would be the same. We are arguing over attending a wedding cause i dont want to leave her. And I agree with @mrs. wagon, let yourself be emotional but maybe not in front of her so she doesn't sense it. She's your baby!

I have yet to experience this but I'm not looking forward to it. I hate it when the grandparents joke about having LO sleepover. I would be a HOT mess.

@autumnlove: awwww... I am usually just fine about leaving Wagon Jr. but when we were leaving for the hospital, even though I was super excited (I had been wanting an induction for weeks) I was pretty emotional about leaving him, too. You'll be fine!! focus on meeting your new baby!!! But don't worry about being emotional... it's all emotional!! AHHH!!!

@SAHM0811: Being in the hospital with #2 was the first time I had ever been away from my oldest overniht, too! It was hard, but I was so happy she came to visit at the hospital early the next morning. It made my long stay a lot more manageable.

@autumnlove: You're having a baby today! Your dauhter will be fine, and very (very!) soon she'll have a new little sister to love and adore thanks to all your hard work!

It was hard for me too when I went to give birth and she was 3 years old! It was the first time I had left her overnight. I almost went home a day early because I missed her so much! But she visited the hospital on Day 2 (I gave birth on Day 1 in the evening)... and I saw that she was in good hands, so it was okay. I thought she'd have a tantrum when leaving, but we distracted her with new gifts she opened "from the new baby".

I know you'll still miss her a lot though, but don't worry... You'll be back home with two LO's before you know it!

I had to leave LO for about 5 hours the other day and I was a mess. I had a luncheon (not baby friendly) and then an engagement party right after that took place at her nap time. I'm a SAHM so I'm literally with LO 24/7, with the exception of leaving her for an hour here and there for doctor's apts, massages, and date nights. DH always gets offended when I say I don't want to leave her and he's the one watching her, but it's not at all that I don't trust him. I know she'll be fine and happy in his care. I just miss her!

You'll have a lot going on when you have to leave LO so maybe you won't be thinking about it as much?

I'm going to be away from my LO for a minimum of 2 nights and I'm an emotional mess about it. I know she will be in good care but I'm so worried. I wasn't as nervous about leaving her when she was 2.5 months old.

Did it get easier or harder for you to leave your LO as they got older?
