We moved into a two story house. Currently, since there's no air conditioning or heating upstairs, everyone's confined downstairs. Not terrible, there's plenty of room. -But- the downstairs bathroom's tub/shower isn't working. Not enough water pressure. We haven't gotten that fixed yet so the only way for DH and I to take a shower is to go -upstairs- to the 3/4 bath. </p> <p>And I'm sure a lot of you are going, duh, just take the baby monitor. Well, we haven't found the baby monitor from our move and then there's no guarantee where little miss Em will decide to fall asleep - the living room in the PnP or the swing in my office. So I set my cell phone alarm to go off in fifteen minutes, praying that it would give me enough time to wash my hair at least.</p> <p>Funny thing. I think I was done in less than five. I made myself stay in there for another seven minutes (my cell phone was counting down three minutes when I stepped out) and made myself get dressed before rushing down the stairs. H is still out cold in his crib, curled around his tiger. Em is asleep in the swing where I left her. To the best of my knowledge, the phone didn't even ring while I was gone.</p> <p>This has given me a strange sense of competence. See ma, I can take care of myself and two babies! Now while they're both somewhat content I'm going to attempt the impossible - something never been attempted in this house since miss Em was born! </p> <p>*drum roll*</p> <p>I'm going to run upstairs and take a shower!</p> <p>*audience gasps*</p> <p>Yes, that's right, ladies and gents, I'm going to be bold, be daring, and take a shower while both kids are (temporarily) immobile and quiet!
