DH has become so over protective! It was super annoying when I was feeling fine in the first 6 months, but somewhere around 30 weeks, it quit bothering me and I am perfectly happy to let him walk the dog and do the dishes.

LOL! That's ADORABLE!

DH is the total opposite, he has done NONE of the protective stuff and almost never offers to help or do stuff for me. I think he's just clueless.

I can see how it would get old, but it's pretty cute/sweet!

My DH was the opposite... he'd do crazy things like ask me to move boxes, climb a ladder to take boxes to the attic, and spray the bushes with pesticide - when I was 7 mo pregnant!!! Clueless!

My husband fears I'm not eating enough! I was super picky in the first trimester so he kept trying to feed me. Now that I'm in my second and eating all the time, he still feels like I'm not eating enough!

Even before I was pregnant he doesn't let me use knives much or open packages with scissors! He's scared I'll hurt myself! It's an ongoing joke that I say, "I'm going to go cut up an apple for a snack...WITH A KNIFE!"

He freaks out and drops everything to do it for me. Lol
He also doesn't let me drive much. He may bubble wrap me when I start getting bigger.

ETA: DH is not controlling in the least. Just very protective. Just thought I would mention that. Lol

He couldn't understand why I didn't want to mop the floor on my hands and knees at 35 weeks pregnant haha.

@Mae: Haha, aw. It is sweet. My husband is the opposite, even now, when I'm well into my third tri and HUGE. He's always asking for me to help lift heavy crap, complaining about HIS aching back, etc. Good thing he's an awesome dad, because he sucks at being the husband of a pregnant woman.

This is so sweet!!! I had the opposite problem where at 34 weeks my husband was still trying to get me to snowblow and shovel snow and told me I was out of breath because I wasn't fit, not because I was pregnant and had all my organs and a baby squashing my lungs!

@TurtleDoves: @PurplePeony: @nana87: Oh man--- the food thing would bug me! lol. Luckily he doesn't really know/care too much about the food aspect of pregnancy because he figures I know what I'm doing. So far I'm following all the rules and not cheating (but again-- 6 weeks in. I might get desperate later) anyways. But I know there are various opinion on some things (like caffeine--- and I am not giving up my morning cup of coffee!) so I'm glad I don't have anyone second guessing me.

My hubby has been really overprotective, too. He's been away for a few weeks and, while I've missed him, it's been kind of nice not having him hovering over me and telling me what (he thinks) I can and can't do. Food has been the worst, whenever we're out I'll order something and then he'll start second-guessing me in front of the waitress, being like "but doesn't hot chocolate have caffeine in it? Are you sure you should be drinking that? I think you should get a decaf tea instead." Drives me CRAZY! I know he's just concerned, but it's kind of embarrassing!

Since we got pregnant, my husband has insisted on helping me up/down curbs and stairs, not over-exerting myself and at 36 weeks he does not want me driving anywhere by myself, standing on chairs, or anything like that. In fact, he keeps bugging me and asking if I'm okay, like this morning as I was getting in the shower. He was up when I was last night worrying because I was coughing so much and couldn't get comfortable.

It's sweet, but I'm starting to get really tired of it. I love his sweet heart though, so I try not to get too annoyed.
