If she wakes up before 4am I try my hardest to get her to go back to sleep in her crib. If its after 4am she comes in bed with me and hubs to nurse and sleep for another hour or so. We've shared a bed since birth, and while LO will occasionally rotate horizontally when she starts stirring in the morning, she's pretty still and mellow, overnight. I co-bedded from day one, and although we made it to 8 months it really never worked that well for us. She has always moved a lot, made a lot of noise in her sleep, and if she's in bed with me she wants to be latched on- like, physically touching me wasn't enough. Latched on. I cannot sleep like that.<br /> I wanted to do it for several reasons, but after awhile I had to accept that it just wasn't what was best for my kid and my family. Every baby is different. He doesn't necessarily sleep better but if he fusses I can just pat him back to sleep and not have to get up.
