I agree with everyone else. I didn't like being pregnant either, but once you start feeling baby move a lot it gets easier because it's more real, and of course, in the end it is worth it! Hang in there!

thanks for all of the encouragement ladies! i'm hoping when we find out the gender in two weeks it will help it feel more real and i'll start enjoying it a little more! plus, then we can start shopping, and shopping tends to help my mood. :)

It gets soo much better. With my first pregnancy I complained and disliked it a lot. It is really scary and you don't get to forget about it (like you DH does), and for me the concept of a baby was just that, a concept. I didn't get what having a baby actually meant until she was out. My second pregnancy I enjoyed so much more, probably because I forgot about it frequently because I was chasing a toddler around. Don't worry, it gets better. And if it doesn't, you are almost half way through :) All your emotions are valid and shouldn't make you upset.

I absolutely despise pregnancy. The way I look, the way I feel, everything. All I can say is you are not alone, and it will all be worth it when your LO comes. Now that my LO is 4 months, I hardly even remember feeling so miserable!

@photojane: it took us a really long time to have our babies, so i felt even more guilty that i hated pregnancy so much. and even now, with the babies here, i LOVE them to pieces, but there are definitely times where i have to pray to god to give me strength.

@photojane: I felt this way to whole time and I have no advice but I can tell you that when your LO arrives it will take less than a month for you to realize the pregnancy was well worth it.

ETA: Most people say the moment they have the baby it is worth it. It took me a few weeks, and some people take longer... but it is worth it!

I'm so glad that I'm not alone! We had a lot of trouble TTC with two losses, so I feel incredibly guilty for not enjoying being pregnant. But who can with aches and pains, the snail trail, dry heaving, bowel issues and feeling like a truck ran over you 24/7??

Once the baby starts moving, it will make it all worth it though. Hang in there! You're almost halfway there!

@tequiero21: same here! sometime i'll cry in the shower and feel so bad that i'm so ungrateful for this blessing. i'm trying to find joy in my circumstances.

i'm hoping that y'all are right and once baby starts moving it'll be better. i think if i could overcome the nausea/sickness and fatigue i might enjoy it more. right now i'm just fat and sick. haha.

i do already love this little peanut though. i can't wait to meet him/her. i need a fast forward button.

I did not like being pregnant at all. Ever. Hated it. And I was sick a lot. But, I LOVED labor and delivery, and I can't wait to be pregnant again just because I now know what it's like to instantly and intensely love someone that you've never met.

I felt the same way all through my pregnancy. As someone said, it did get better when I started feeling her moving consistently. But I never APPRECIATED my pregnancy, and in hindisght I regret that. As much as you dislike it now, take photos, take notes. Once the baby is born, you might miss it.

It's much much more enjoyable when you can feel the baby moving. I was pretty miserable for the first 3-4 months- you forget what it's like to feel "normal". I think you are also in that in between stage right now where you aren't big enough for maternity clothes but you're too big for your regular clothes which gets really depressing. It will get better. And I think it's totally ok to not like being pregnant- frankly I hated it and I know a lot of other moms who feel the same way. It's been my experience that the people who love it were the ones that were lucky enough to avoid a lot of the side effects.

I'm 37 weeks and STILL sick! But, I will say, you get used to it. You start to enjoy it more when you can feel the baby kick and roll around. I noticed a huge change in enjoying it after 25 weeks :)

Don't feel bad - I pretty much hated being pregnant the entire time. And everyone who asked me if I "loved being pregnant", I just wanted to punch in the face.

But it's definitely a lot to get your head around when you start off thinking it's going to be great and then, it's not. I think society just puts so much pressure on pregnant ladies to love every minute of it and have "the glow", that when you don't, it's depressing.

i'm already sick of being pregnant. i'm only 17 weeks. how will i make it to 40 weeks?!

this is not at all how i imagined i would feel. i always dreamed of being pregnant with a cute little bump, and having the glow. my lack of enthusiasm for being pregnant is really disappointing to me. i'm just ready for the baby to be here and to not be sick anymore. blah. 23 more weeks... really?
