@cavalierkcs: It wasn't the shot, I got it in pill form. I took it for five days and then my period came within the next five days.

My cycles were all over the place after coming off the pill. I had two 60 day cycles before being given Depo to bring on a period. After that, I started charting and while my cycles are irregular, I can see if I'm gearing up for ovulation or having a long cycle. If you are interested in charting, I recommend Taking Charge of Your Fertility. I learned so much about my body and cycle and felt so empowered going into TTC.

I am currently three months off of the pill and I have experienced periods all over the place as well. I was speaking to a colleague about this... she had irregular cycles for six months after the pill. She went to the doctor and was diagnosed with PCOS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polycystic_ovary_syndrome). She is of Asian descent, so she didn't have some of the usual markers of too many androgens like weight gain or facial hair, but when the doctors did a check they found that she was not ovulating at all. After this diagnosis, they put her on a regimen of Clomid and Metformin and she was pregnant by her second cycle.

Yep my cycles were very irregular off the pill. My first couple cycles were within the "normal" range (29 to 31 days) then once i guess my body really realized the synthetic hormones have truly left the body, and started to try to remember to make its own, it went nuts. I have had cycles from 33 to 47 days since then, with no pattern, and just when it was stabilizing I got my BFP which ended in a miscarriage. I hate hormones!!!

@pui: Oh - I did just recently stop eating Dairy. I wonder if that did it (fewer hormones from processed milk and yogurt.). I didn't think about that!

@Mrs.Ham: Well I'm a poor example... I "regulated" but my "regular" is basically never ovulating or getting a period lol. By my 140 day cycle (6 months after stopping HBC) I was probably "regulated" as it seems the left over hormones from the pill was the only thing giving me AF at all.

I have read that it can take up to a year to regulate. It is totally possible you are just having one weird cycle though. Did you change your diet or exercise habits recently?

@psw27: I know what you mean! We are NTNP right now, but it makes me nervous for when we actually TTC!

@PUI: No, I'm not using OPK's or tempting. Right now I'm just trying to pay attention to my body and track what's going on. How long did it take your cycles to regulate?

My cycles actually got longer and longer after going off the pill. I had 3 cycles within 30 days, then a 40 day one, then a 60 day one and then a 140 day one. It's possible your body is still adjusting from being off the pill, even 6 months later.

It is also possible you just O'd later than normal so this cycle is a little bit longer. Are you charting/using OPKs? Do you have any idea when you ovulated?

I suggest taking a HPT once a week until you either get AF or a BFP. If you cycle goes beyond 60 days, please call a doctor.

I quit BC 9 months ago and my cycles have been all over the place. I was at around 30 days for 3 cycles then last month it was 41 days! Needless to say, I was doing a lot of POAS with BFN but eventually AF showed. (We aren't TTC) I have no idea what to expect this month, its very frustrating. It makes me so worried when we do TTC it will be difficult.

Since I quit the pill 6 months ago, my cycles have been kind of wonky ... but they've averaged about 34 days. I'm on CD 41 today. Took a test last night, BFN
I'm not sure what's going on, but if Aunt Flow is going to visit, I'd rather it just start already!
Anybody else have unpredictable cycles?
