@macintosh: yeah I have been really happy with them. Although I find they run a bit small/short. But they wash and wear so well! I give them as gifts quite often

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! Gap has some cute styles but they are on the pricey side, even on sale. I definitely want him in pants because I like him to eat breakfast in his pjs in case he gets messy.

@Littlebit7: Leveret, thank you! I remembered that brand because we were gifted a sleeper from them. They do have cute long-sleeved 2 piece pjs for a good price plus you can't beat prime shipping.

The main reason I like two piece jammies is it's a lot easier for crawling and standing. I find with sleepers, the get their knees caught up in the legs and it's just too awkward.

this is an interesting thread! somehow I thought zip sleepers were the bees knees but apparently there is something better! I'm intrigued that two piece pajamas are easier! I love leveret (on amazon). inexpensive and they make 2 piece PJs. They hold up pretty well. Looks like I will be trying out 2 piece PJs!

The same thing happened to us with my long son last spring. He grew out of all his pjs by length so quickly! I always size up in pjs (especially if they are slim fit! I don't like them to be too tight), so I would probably try the 2T brand at Target and see how they fit. Some brands have very little different between 24 months and 2T. We do almost all Carters PJs, but some random ones from other places. This spring Carters has footless one piece pjs which are my favorite because they last longer than the footie ones, but are still one piece (so no tops riding up and exposing bellies while they sleep).

Old Navy and Gap have small 2 piece pj's. They are in little bags by the socks. They have combos of shorts and short sleeved shirts, pants and short sleeved shirts, and pants and long sleeved shirts. My 6 month old fit the 12 month size. I far prefer 2 piece pjs. With my second, I had her in them really early.

Lo has been in old Navy 2t two piece pjs from 8 months on. They were a little long on him at first but the cuffs are snug so they stayed out of his way. And they fit all winter, i am so sick of buying new clothes every 3 months.... We have a few holes in the knees from crawling. They are ment for a walking baby.

I was going to say Gap too- on sale they are about the same price as Old Navy and they are so soft. But Old Navy are fine too. I'd buy now since they are starting to put summer stuff out.

However my 2.5 yo still goes back and forth between two piece and footed Pjs. She has small feet and is on the smaller side so her 24 months footed sleepers from last winter still fit!

I prefer two piece PJs and I prefer long sleeves too (same thing as you, so their arms will be warm in a sleep sack).

We usually buy Gap PJs when they have their 50% off codes (or 40-50% off clearance!) or we buy them second hand. Old Navy has good PJs too, not as good quality... but it might not matter since they grow out of them so fast at this age!

@MrsSRS: Footless is a good idea too. I hated those when he was little but now he wears a fleece sleep sack and I can definitely put socks on him. Maybe I can get a combo of those and the seperates I've seen on Carters site. I just love seeing him in the cute prints, I'm not ready to give up that "babyish" look for bedtime yet.

I like some of the Carters sleepers that are footless. But I, too, would like inexpensive, two piece, cotton jammies with long sleeves for my eight month old. For now we're just doing long sleeve white onesies and hand me down sweats from her brother.

I'm sick of sleepers, I think. Sure, it's nice to have once piece with the feet attached, but I'm sick of how fast Mr. Long Legs grows out of them. I'm also sick of wrestling a squirmy tired baby to get his chubby legs in and the zipper up!

LO is 10 months and almost out of his 18 month sleepers. I was going to do long sleeved 2 piece pjs but Target doesn't sell Just One You in size 24 months, they skip to 2T. Carters.com has 24 months seperates but they are mostly short sleeved. I think his arms will get cold in the spring with just a sleep sack on, right? Thoughts? Better brands/websites for pjs that won't break the bank?
