I had an unplanned induction due to high blood pressure and only had a light lunch. I was planning on a snack after my dr appt, but I had to go to the hospital for monitoring. So I didn't get to eat. Once I had DS I was SO hungry(!!), all the would offer me was crackers and juice. I did finally get a sandwich once I was on the family unit. I hadn't eaten all day due to the fact that I woke up in labor and spent the rest of the day in the hospital. I was admitted around noon and had him at 10:49pm. They told me I could have gatorade but once I asked for it later on they told me I couldn't. During my childbirth class they also promised me I could have Rita's water ice during labor, but they lied about that too.
