@ladyfingers: I woke up to soaked panties when I was 6 weeks 4 days! I was so scared. Toilet bowl was bright red, had clots..
LO was fine though. I continued to spot on and off into my 2nd trimester (bright red spotting). I had a healthy baby girl though! :)

I know how stressful it can be. :( Hang in there!

I never believed that about some bleeding in pregnancy being normal. For my next pregnancy, I will. I finally understand that bleeding does not mean you are going to lose the baby. My dr said "Pregnancy is a very bloody undertaking. There are many things unrelated to the baby - like cervix irritation- that cause bleeding. And the baby is just as content as can be in there." I realize how separate bleeding and baby can be! But it took a while!

Lol @Kodybear I had gotten used to the brown spotting and then came this red stuff. Too funny that you said that because the brown WAS starring to seem like my normal! Maybe I'm just a bleeder. *shrug*

Ill be 17 weeks this weekend and I have had 4 episodes of spotting so far. I've had an ultra sound every time and everything has always been fine. My doc told me something like 30% of women have some unexplained spotting at some point during their pregnancy.

Thanks ladies :) They did look for an SCH but said they couldn't see signs of any. We haven't checked my progesterone levels, maybe I'll bring that up at my next appointment if I'm still bleeding. Its just so irritating -- @Running Elley yes a total mind trip. It will abate, then come back. It's not leaving anything on a pad, just a couple of streaks, but then I get on the Internet and read all these terrible stories and fall to pieces again. Ugh. I'm so grateful for my nausea because it tells me things are still cooking lol.

I'm sorry to be such a bummer! I think feeling exhausted (despite plenty of sleep) makes it a billion times worse.

i spotted from weeks 4-8. it was usually brown, but sometimes red/brown and bright red. i even passed a clot alittle smaller than a dime! i got checked on weeks 5 and 7 by different doctors and both doctors i saw said it could still be implantation bleeding. i got a regular checkup at 8 weeks and the doctor said i have something like an irritated cervix where the outside of my cervix is red and more prone to spotting. but it doesn't affect pregnancy or the baby. since 8 weeks i've only had 1 half day of spotting and i'm 15 weeks on sat! :-) i know how you feel and it does get better! even if the spotting doesn't go away, you get used to it and find it your "normal". there were days when i'd stop spotting and i thought something was wrong! haha so the worrying might not end but it definitely gets better with time.

Ugh I’m sorry that you’re having to go through this :( I spotted intermittently from 4.5 week through 8 weeks. It was a major mindtrip. I’d start getting hopeful and then I’d start spotting again, have a complete emotional breakdown after I convinced myself that I’d lose the baby and then the cycle would repeat. I’m 22 weeks pregnant and our little boy is doing great! Has your doctor checked your hormone levels? I had low progesterone which was making me spot whenever it would dip. Once we figured out the best supplementation plan my spotting stopped for good. I think it’s a FABULOUS sign that you’ve had great ultrasounds :)

I had multiple bleeding issues mainly due to a subchorionic hemorrhage. I also had spotting from what is believed to have been an irritated cervix. My spotting has been brown, pink, & red- I've had it all:(. My SCH went away and I haven't had problems in a while. I'm 15 weeks tomorrow and she is doing GREAT! Did they try to see if you had an SCH?

I had a large subchorionic hemorrhage with my 2nd DD. I would gush blood every couple of days until it healed. Eventually it healed on its own and I went on to have a healthy pregnanycy. With the pregnancy I had some spotting issues at 7 weeks and they didn't see a SCH and didn't know why I was bleeding, I am 12w 4d and all of my US and appointment have gone great since then.

I hope your spotting stops soon.Sending lots of prayers and hugs!

I feel like this is all I ever post about, but I am so sick of spotting. I just broke down crying in the bathroom, praying for it just to stop. I had intermittent brown spotting for about a week, then bright red spotting starting yesterday (actually starting right before I went in for my ultrasound). Everything looks fine, the baby is growing right on track and has a strong heartbeat and I'm 6 weeks and morning sickness set in today. I'm exhausted. The doctor says she's not seeing a reason to worry and there aren't any reasons for the bleeding that she can see. I'm going back next Thursday, though, for another ultrasound, just for peace of mind.

And I know that if something's going to happen, I can't control it. And I know that it wouldn't be the end of the world. But right now, I'm so tired and worried and stressed out that I just need to hear some "I bled and everything was fine" stories. Even if it doesn't mean anything.
