I get that a lot now that people know we want to TTC in a few months. I hardly ever got told that when I was engaged (about getting married) so its extra annoying because I'm not used to it. I've been dealing with this one for a decade, and continue to get it.</p> <p>I'm tired of society telling me that I can't think and research for myself when it comes to important life decisions (career, birth plans, child rearing, schooling). </p> <p>There are many decisions I've made in my life that "society" disagreed with, and I don't regret any of them.</p> <p>I moved away from home at 16 for a great internship opportunity.<br /> I married at 20 to a man I'd known since we were 12 and had been dating for years.<br /> I chose not to go into debt to pay for my education but instead did it a little at a time, working my way through over the course of several years, and have no debt whatsoever.<br /> I chose to move overseas with my husband just weeks after our wedding, to take another wonderful job opportunity and have an experience we won't soon forget.</p> <p>I chose what I believe to be best for myself and my family. I didn't make any choices lightly, and no, I'm not going to change my mind. When I was engaged, I probably said or at least thought, "I am tired of society saying I am too young to get married!" I'm not sure who I really meant, but if I think about it, it was probably my group of friends and even acquaintances... people like my nail lady who was like, "Wow, aren't you a bit young?
