I know this post is a little old but I thought I'd respond just the same. I had 3 miscarriages, all before the 6 week mark. On my 4th try after consulting a specialist I started taking 81 mg of aspirin per day. Not sure if it was just bad odds in the beginning but I am 40 weeks now :) I took the aspirin regimen through the 1st & 2nd trimesters but stopped at 27 weeks at the advice of my doctor. Good luck!

@jholler25 - Thanks for the info! How early where your CPs, if you don't mind me asking? I've been wondering if I've been having them, but I haven't taken a lot of early HPTs since seeing a BFN sucks...

I'm definitely interested in a more holistic approach, so looking into acupuncture is on my list of things to talk to the doc about. I'm in Seattle, so sometimes it seems that there are more holistic docs (and acupuncturists) than regular docs!

I took baby aspirin after having 2 chemical pregnancies...I think I took it on the CP cycles as well, but not religiously. I def took it religiously after those 2 cycles, and I got preg the next cycle with a sticky baby.

My acupuncturist, who was a fertility acu, said you're not supposed to clot for AF....I started doing acupuncture and noticed pretty immediately that my flow was heavier and more bright red blood (sorry tmi!) and much less clotting. He said it was a blood flow issue to the uterus I think? So I don't know if you have a fertility acupuncturist in your area, but it's another option to look into:)

Thanks @spaniellove! I do have random stomach issues (though not bleeding/ulcers) so I'll definitely wait to talk to my doctor on Monday.

This pretty much made me feel like maybe I have an idea of whats wrong, and a potential solution. Hopefully my doc is open to looking into it!

Clots during AF are normal; giant clots are not. Baby aspirin can help if you have a specific issue like a MTHFR mutation but can also be a major health risk if you have any bleeding issues or history of stomach bleeding/ulcers. I tried taking it, thinking it couldn't do any harm, and totally forgot that I had bleeding ulcers in the past. The aspirin (even the enteric coated kind) really aggravated the issue! So I wouldn't recommend just taking it without a specific reason from your doctor. It used to be that REs used to prescribe it in case it helped with implantation but many won't anymore because it isn't proven to help.

Here is a good link about it:
http://women.webmd.com/guide/menstrual-blood-problems-clots-color-and-thickness

It says that clots COULD be OK, but not if they're big or excessive.

Thanks for your responses so far!

@Mrs.Someone: I don't know about he baby aspirin, but it is normal to have clots during AF. That is the uterine lining being shed.

i don't know anything about the baby asprin, but i do know that i had lots of clots during AF every month. my mom and gyno both told me that clotting is very normal, and that you'll actually clot more with age. the clotting didn't affect my ability to conceive.

I know of someone who was perscribed baby asprin after having repeat miscarriages and it helped her to have a successful pregnancy. But I would definitely check with your doctor before doing this. It's my understanding that asprin is not recommended in pregnancy so while it might help you with implantation I would be worried about continuing to take it during your TWW where it might be negatively affecting a viable pregnancy.

So after 7 months of no luck with TTC, yet feeling like something is happening every month, I've been trying to figure out some ideas from Dr. Google. (Don't worry, I'm going to see my real doctor too).

One thing I found today that seems promising is taking baby aspirin. Its used as a blood thinner, and can help with implantation. I also found something that says clots in AF are not normal. I definitely have this issue! I'm tempted to start taking it ASAP (research says it can't hurt), but think it would be best if I wait to talk to my doctor.

So does anyone have an experience with taking baby aspirin for TTC? Please tell me about it, and how it worked for you!
