DS got diagosed with it yesterday. Poor baby. His nose looks horrible (because of the runny nose he had for 2 weeks) and now he has spots. He's on the topical cream now and if it doesn't help, the dr said she'll give him the oral medication on Wednesday. After doing some reading, DS has had eczema on and off so that's why I think he was suseptible to it (because his skin was already raw or thin). DD currently is fine. Hoping no one else gets it.

@blackbird: that helps a lot! Thank you! He only has a few spots anyways, and they can easily be covered by bandaids. That makes me feel much better

He's contagious for 24 hours after the start of antibiotics and then he's fine. E had it last year-I put a round bandaid on the spot to keep her from touching it. It's spread by touching so I'd just cover the body area mostly

DS#1 was diagnosed with impetigo today, and I had no idea how contagious it was until i looked it up! Should I keep him home? If so, for how long? We don't do daycare but DD has swim lessons tomorrow that we wait for in a common waiting room and DS#1 has gymnastics on Wednesday..... What do I do?
