It would depend on your cycle length as to when you could detect a positive on an hpt with the info that your period is still 1.5wks early. For what it's worth, studies have shown pull out to be 97% effective (better than condoms) when used correctly. The emphasis, of course, is on used correctly. As long as he wasn't waiting until the last second (and could therefore have maybe gotten a little inside), you shouldn't likely have any issues. I've been off BC since we started trying to get pregnant with D, who will be 2 in January. I never went back on the pill after I had him because i BFd for 14 months, and even since then we've barely been having sex. And when we do, he pulls out early. Anyway. Sunday I suddenly seemed to be getting my period, which is about 1.5 weeks early! By the time I got home from work last night, it seemed like it was gone. I didn't have implantation bleeding with my first pregnancy, but is there a chance that's what this was? I've been kind of freaking out over it since the thought crossed my mind, so maybe I just stressed my period back into hiding? We aren't even 100% sure we want a second child, so that's why I'm freaking out. Is it to early to test? Eeep! </p>
