@HollisJean: I second the fertility friend app... mainly because it will teach you so much about conceiving and your body!!
I used ovuview just to track my period and bd.

@HollisJean: It might be helpful to sign up for FF so you can keep track of your dates...if your current cycle started 8/4 you're on day 28! (I only know this because that's when my current cycle started too.) Even if you don't track your temps, you can get a rough idea of when you might be ovulating and when you should expect AF. Good luck!

@Faithfertility Yes, that helps a lot, actually. My periods seem to be on a 26 - 28 day cycle every month which means it should be here a lot sooner than I thought. (I swear I'm not this flakey in all aspects if my life, I just haven't had to think about this until now ... I never marked anything on the calendar either because when my breasts get sore I know AF is about to start, and that was my faithful reminder).

I'm glad there's a community like this, thank you again for your feedback!!

Are your periods 28days apart??? If so you usually ovulate 12-14 days from day 1 of your period......implantation can happen anywhere from5-12 days after ovulation and your period comes 2weeks after your ovulation date?!?!? Does that help??
So if you had a period Aug 4th.....
and you have 28 day cycles...
You should have O between Aug 17-18
Implantaion can happen anywhere from Aug-23-29?!?
So your next period would be Aug 31st
But you stated it was a week and a half away, so I'm not to sure
Hope that helps!!!!!

Thank you all, for your replies. @Ash lol, at least it was just a bit of stabbing.
My last period started roughly around the 4th of August. My husband and I only recently started talking about the idea of conception, so I haven't paid much attention to my periods before now, and though I have friends who are TTC, and who talk with me about their charts, I still don't quite understand the ovulation/conception timing.

It could be, or could be something else. I would just wait it out and test in a few days.

I agree with @Ash, do you know when you ovulated? If your period isn't due for a week and a half then I'm guessing you're roughly a half week past ovulation...in which case the spotting happened around or just after O?

That sounds like a super long lp... Do you know when you o'd?
My cramps due to implantation felt like a knife stabbing into my uterus and that was all.

I have never conceived before, so I'm not sure what to think here: Last week, my husband and I had sex, (I think it was Tuesday evening, the 20th), and this past Wednesday night (28th) I noticed brown spotting. I had zero cramping. My period is not due for at least a week and a half. Yesterday, I noticed a little more spotting, but none today, and no cramping yesterday. Today, I have cramps, BUT no spotting.
Do you think this is a sign of implantation? I'm trying not to feel too excited yet, but it's difficult to resist.
