Not to bum you out, but it also could be a corpus luteum dip, which can happen 2-5 DPO.

@Mrs.KMM: I had a consistent dip at 4 dpo for every cycle. I was googling and read something about one hormone taking over from another which causes the dip that early. I never had an implantation dip though.

No way to know until AF or BFP! Seems early though. FWIW, I didn't have a dip with my BFP. Chart looked the same as always. Also, seems pretty low...might just be a fluke. But fx for you!

@Mrs. J: Well it would be super early for AF to be on the way so hopefully it isn't that! :)

@Mrs.KMM: That your progesterone levels are dropping and AF is coming. Progesterone is what controls the temp spike, if I recall correctly.

@Mrs. J: What is the difference if it is below the coverline? What would that potentially indicate?

I think 5 days is kind of early, but since you're still above your coverline, I think you're okay. Good luck!

With my pregnancy for LO, my dip occurred on 7 DPO on a typically 13 day LP. I Don't think 5 DPO is extraordinarily early as I believe I've heard of ppl having a dip around day 6? FX for you either way!

I'm still pretty new to charting / temping but I had a really large dip in my temp this morning (5 DPO) and I'm wondering if there is a chance that it could be an implantation dip?

It seems a little early but I thought I would see what some of you that have more experience with charting think. If it matters, my LP is typically about 12-13 days long.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much but I feel like we timed things really well this month. Man it is going to be a long TWW! :)
