We travel from west coast to east coast at least twice a year to visit family. We never adjust their schedule because it kind of works out for us. Especially, with two kids, my mil won't be able to handle bedtime by herself. So with a later bedtime, we can go out and come back at 11pm to put the kids to sleep. But when we travel west, we adjust to local time. I say, do what works for your schedule. Kids are a lot more adaptable to schedule changes than you think.

When we went to east coast from pacific time and didn't change her schedule. She was up later but I didn't mind. It wasn't worth trouble of changing routine at home IMO

We are usually on mountain time, so LO is now going to bed 2 hours later according to eastern time. It is great for me, because i got some glorious shuteye this morning. She woke up at 8am, i nursed her for 30 minutes and she slept until 9:50am. That being said, it really messes with our daily schedule because she will be going to bed around 9-9:30pm. Not an ideal time to go out with friends!

I wouldn't mind moving her wakeup time by an hour or so, but i am afraid of whether it will be hard to go back to our regular schedule when we are back at home.

Should i keep the schedule as is? Should i just keep her awake after she wakes up at 8am (6am mountain time) and have her start the day?
