Chili is always good on a cool day
Meatloaf
or when I'm feeling really fall-y, I'll cook some boneless porkchops, sauerkraut, sweet potatoes, and cut up apples in a skillet with some apple juice and maybe brown sugar. I don't really use a recipe, but it usually turns out yummy!

well it's already past 5pm for you, but one of my favorite comfort dishes is mabo tofu. I don't like traditional american comfort food (casseroles, etc)

I'm a dip lover. Buffalo chicken dip, jalapeno popper dip or queso would comfort me! With tortilla chips or maybe baguette.

I am in the same mood... and I threw a precooked quarter ham in the oven. Will be done in about 45 mins with no effort from me! I will glaze it with maple syrup and brown sugar, however. :)

Today was our first cool day after the longest drought in Washington State history (seriously it has been so warm for so long). I would love some serious comfort food tonight for dinner to make it feel even more like Fall.
any tips? Something not too time consuming please, it is already 5 pm.
