I don't know for sure as we've only ever used Pampers Swaddlers (day) and Pampers Baby Dry (night), but we've only had 2 blowouts and maybe 1 leak in 14 months. LO does always wear a size larger than what the package says should fit her, but she has chubby rolly thighs and junk in the trunk so the larger ones fit her better :)

My LO leaked constantly when I tried Huggies, but rarely leaks in Pampers...

i think size matters first, but i prefer pampers swaddlers/cruisers over all the other brands! :)

@jmarionsmith: @oliviaoblivia: @Mrs. Yoyo: Ha my DH got this last pack and went with the 3s because E's weight is still in their weight range, but he's also in the 4s range, lol.

@Mrsbells: Regular during the day, nighttime at night (although I don't think the Huggies he used last night--and did not leak through--are nighttime). He was leaking day and night, pretty much every time he peed.

Both play a role since different brands are cut different, which affects sizing and how they fit on each individually shaped kid, I think. But I always found we had to size up awhile before the weight chart on the package would indicate to avoid leaks.

@FutureMrsMcK: I hope it helps! We also did diaper free/ sun time. He wasn't eating solids at the time but I've read cutting sugars/breads and adding extra probiotics in yogurt or pills can help. I know for us I also had a yeasty gross thing going on my boob that he was getting it from so I used APNO at the same time and made sure I was clear as well.

L is in a four and is only seven months. I'd think would definitely need a bigger dipe!

Both brand and size play a big role. If you use disposables try going a size up at night. Are you using night time diapers or regular diapers?

for e's age/size, i'd definitely say he needs a 4. in this case the size of the diaper is probably more important than the brand when it comes to leaking.

@scg00387: we ended up with a prescription for Ketoconazole, which mostly cleared it up until another outbreak started. I'll have to try your combo...it's been almost a month now!

@FutureMrsMcK: we use sposies overnight and were having leaks until we switched to 4s. He's about 20 lbs and nurses once overnight and is in the dipe for prob 13 hours. We use seventh generation now. What have you tried for yeast? We've only had one bout but it cleared fast after I switched to using monistat + cortisone cream + Boudreauxs natural in that order layered and then GSE in the wash loads

We usually do cloth, but we've been battling a seemingly never-ending yeast infection, so we've been in disposables. He was in Size 3 of...Munchkin, I think. And he always leaks at night. And sometimes during the day. Even just dinner out. With my ILs.

One of DH's distant some number-cousin-removed was in the States a few weeks ago. Her youngest son had finally potty trained (at 4) and they gave us the rest of their last pack of diapers, Huggies Snug Dry, Size 4. We tried one last night. Slept 13 hours through, no leaks.

They seem to fit him more comfortably but the 3s weren't a good fit too, so I guess brand? Either way, I'm sold.

What did you find mattered more, size or brand?
