Also, lightly blowing on her face will force her to take a breath. I've found that sometimes I can do that a few times in a row to help her calm down. It's the bottom left molar. I'm guessing it would be pretty unusual for a molar to come in before the bottom four were all in. LO was crying like this a few months ago, and we didn't know why (he was even crying while I was nursing him), and it turns out his little toe was bent funny in the foot of his pajamas. I felt so bad! She also spiked a fever later that night.
