Teething is my guess!

Just keep an eye out for a soft spot sunken in or swollen (I forget which is dehydration, but both are bad!) and pretty chapped lips. If neither is the case, she's teething or has a virus. If she seems happy, I bet it's fine to wait until next week.

Not a doctor. ;)

Thank you everyone for lessening my mama anxiety.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: your description of your LO is exactly what my LO is going through right now. My MIL ( who also takes care of her during the day) was so alarmed and convinced it was the breastmilk and wanted to giver her formula. I almost flipped out. Thank you for the reassurance. I hope it's also just teething.

My LO usually poops 1-2/day but then sometimes she'll poop five times in a day. I've stopped trying to figure it out lol. As long as she seems happy and there is nothing concerning in the diaper, I just chalk it up to baby weirdness.

@Jenee: my LO just did this for a week straight. She'd poop every time I fed her and throughout the day, up to 12 loose stools a day. It was alarming since she'd go 2-3 or 4 days before a poop before. My cousins baby (who is four days older than mine) had just been hospitalized for a virus that caused dehydration, so I was on high alert and pretty nervous.

Our ped guessed a virus and said LO didn't show any signs of dehydration, and to keep an eye on her.

Her only other symptom was drooling like crazy, but she'd been doing that for weeks before the loose stools started.

On Christmas Day she got a fever, and a bubble of a tooth popped up. It's her canine tooth. The day after Christmas, the stools lessened. Now she's back to her regular pooping schedule, and the tooth is just about to break through.

I am a long time HB reader and felt reluctant to post this but board posts are so helpful with advice and tips. Maybe this will help someone else too.

My DD is 18 weeks old. She gets breast milk exclusively ( I EP). This past week she had been popping after every feeding. Similar to what it was like when she was a newborn. Prior to that she maybe pooped once every one to two days. The consistency and color is about the same it has always been. But now more explosive. She is drooling a lot more and extra fussy. Can it be teething, even if it seems a bit early for that. Maybe it is my breast milk but my diet has not changed much in the last week either. No signs of a cold other than the occasional sneeze. I am at a lost. We don't see her peds until next week for well baby check up/shots. Thank you for your help.
