I got a pair of SKR mary janes at the same time and I actually just threw them away because they aren't wearable, even though we have another girl on the way. The rubber toed Stride Rites look almost brand new, it's crazy.</p> <p>Sadly, the rubber toes are the younger kid shoes, so they only go to a size 6, which my LO is wearing now (she has big feet for her age). I guess I am a tough customer because I'm so picky about the look of shoes (I'm not a fan of keens or most stride rite styles) but there are some excellent suggestions here!!</p> <p>@babynumber1: I WISH she were destroying cheap target shoes...!! She's destroyed a pair of See Kai Runs, Saucony sneakers, Puma sneakers, and New Balance sneakers! and two pairs of Carter's mary janes my mom got for her. </p> <p>@Anagram: I think the rubber toe is the way to go! Those two suggestions are adorable but I'm still afraid for the non rubber parts of the uppers. We have been using them for years and all our shoes always last forever. The quality is just great.
