I used a list I found on Hellobee when my first was little. I can’t find it now, but if you search Toddler Activities, Mrs Lion did a series of no-mess stuff and lots of other bloggers had ideas too.

I bumped my kids bathtime to 4:30/5pm for a while because it was a sure way to keep them contained and entertained on days that were going downhill quickly. Some days I set up a bubble machine in the tub and they still get a kick out of that for some variety.

We also got an indoor swing (like a big disk style one that they can both fit on) and a trampoline to gets lots of energy out inside when we can't go outside.

Oh, one other idea - I picked up some of these floor dot things (kinda like this: https://www.amazon.com/Wensty-Markers-Classroom-Preschool-Kindergarten/dp/B07WQHHX4Z/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=Wensty&qid=1570635332&sr=8-6) and set up patterns for them to follow on the ground or jump onto/around. It requires basically no prep, but is adaptable enough to what the kids feel like doing on any given day. My four year old sets up courses for my two year old now, so it's even less prep for me at this stage.

I actually hate sensory play because of the mess, but just giving them each a pan of water (set on top of a towel) and some misc. stuff is enough for them and I can handle cleaning up water.

We also have an indoor swing, sit and spin, and plastic balance "hilltops". Sometimes we would set up an obstacle course for them using those and the chairs/couch.

Yeah follow busytoddler or go to her website and follow dayswithgrey

Our go to activities at that age were
Magnatiles on the fridge if cookie sheets on the floor while I cooked
Sensory bin scooping-i did beans with scoops and trucks a lot
Painting on the walls in the bathtub-strip the kids first

Maybe a specific routine would help. Something like:
4:00pm everyone go pick two books it's cuddle time! (Then read somewhere unusual for fun)
4:15 dance party!
4:30 designated craft or sensory activity
4:45 play invitation (something like "oh I see you're done with you craft. I set our box of trains out in the living room for you. Go check it out." Sometimes putting a toy out in a new spot really helps them focus and engage.)

I have just started making sensory bins for E. Google should help you find ideas more specific to your kids interests but essentially you have a tub with beans/rice/water/whatever and then various tools and things to manipulate the stuff. Often ones people make are super crazy themed but you can get away with measuring cups and funnels and a basic filler.

I have a 2 and a 3 year old. Im trying to have more of a routine and things to do for when they start getting crazy around 4-5 pm. it’s starting to cool off so soon we can go outside again but I was still needing some more indoor activities due to the bugs outside. What are some things We can do inside? (Things not super messy haha) we color and play with play dough but I’m not creative and can’t think of much else.
