Color coffee filters with markers then spray with /dip in water. I haven't done anything with the filters yet but I'm sure they would make good butterflies or something!

Magazine collages. Glue for my older toddler and double stick tape on paper for my younger toddler.

I punch or cut a bunch of shapes from paper scraps and they glue or tape on paper.

Large washable stamp pads for handprint art.

Potato or apple stamps.

Qtip painting or dot paint markers. There are tons of free printables online but we usually just make dots on plain paper.

Oh, that's a fun idea! I think Sadie would like that. She loves sticking up her foam letters in the tub.

One of my favorite activities we've done is painting with shaving cream. It turned out super cool, and wasn't very messy at all. You just fill a baking dish with shaving cream, squirt in paint, then let your LO swirl it around with a plastic fork (Sadie really liked this, because she got to manipulate the paint without getting dirty :silly: ). Dip a sheet of paper in the shaving cream, then use a spatula to squeegee it off of the paper. You can add more colors or mix the paint a different way to get different prints.

Smurfette mentioned painting ideas on the art post so I thought I'd start one about indoor craft and art ideas. We're headed towards cooler/indoor weather so it's a great time to think about indoor activities.

This is an idea I picked up from our local kids museum. Tape a plastic tarp to the bottom of a sliding glass door or french doors (if you have them) and spread it out so your child is standing on it. Give you child a table with water cups, paint brushes and a bowl or cup of foam shapes/letters/creatures/whatever. Have them "paint" the door and then stick the foam items to the door. It's art that is easy to set-up and clean-up.

The kids museum did this using an art easel like this one - http://bit.ly/1nM6xO0
