No growth issues with second so I went into labor naturally. And yes I was so nervous about it because of logistics of someone watching DS, DH potentially being at work and a long ride to the hospital. The midwife said that worst case we would have to bring DS to the hospital with us while waiting for someone to arrive to watch him. And if you feel the urge to push on the way to the hospital call 911. Your DH can keep your LO and meet you at the hospital. Just make sure to let DH know when early labor starts because second time around it might be a short labor. Currently 38+ weeks with DD2 and when I brought up induction at my last appointment she had no problems with it at all. She said that my last induction went great and my cervix is favorable (dilated 3cm so far) so she scheduled it for Monday @ 39 weeks + 2 days. She was induced with my bro (her first) due to pre-e, with me (her second) she went into labor naturally and had me on her due date. And it was fast! Natural birth for the second one. Labored at home all day, went in that night. With Lo1, we went to 41 weeks and had a scheduled induction. We live about 45 minutes from the hospital, plus I need time to drop LO off with my sister so we're looking at closer to an hour. If I'm induced again, no big deal. But, what if I go into labor naturally?! What if DH is at work? It takes him a half hour to get home, plus a 45+ minute drive to the hospital? Ah. Cue freak out now. </p> <p>So, I know every pregnancy is different and so is every delivery, but just out of curiosity...If you were induced the first time, did the second (or more time) need induction as well? </p>
